A little about me; my name is gracy, & I am a 24 year old artist living in Fort Worth Tx. I have been an artist for as long as I can remember & it has always been the foundation of my personality. Aside from my love of all things expressive, I adore travel, my two doggies (pug named chowder & golden retriever noodle), my soulmate, and good food. I collect ladybug things, dollhouse tiffany lamps, vintage fabric, and pincushions. I love to sew, bake, and garden. I am an empath & have always prided myself on having a strong connection to the emotions & energy around me. I believe in fairies, love at first sight, and that theres nothing a lox bagel & a good book cant fix. I hope you stay a while, & soak in the energy I pour into my own he(art). Artist Statement
I think back to being a little girl not being able to resist plucking every sidewalk flower in my path, collecting them. my goal - my art style - is to convey the saturation, brightness, playfullness, and eagerness to explore that we all once possesed as children. and maybe, just maybe, with a little magic we can find our way back.
My subject matter, medium, and inspiration all derive from nature. Every individual creation houses preserved flowers foraged/grown by my own hand. After gathering fresh blossoms and letting them dry; I then encase them in glass-like epoxy resin so their beauty can be admired for years to come. Akin to moments in time, flowers are not meant to last. In that sense, my art symbolizes the desire to capture our most beautiful moments from life and freeze them in time so as to never lose them.
